We have safely arrived in Accra and with Senyo. It’s early morning here and after stopping to eat and some shopping we will be taking the 3 hour drive to Ho and check into our hotel. Please continue to keep us in your prayers and check back for continued updates.
Breaking bread with Senyo for the first time after arriving.
Fresh Coconut anyone?
We believe this picture was taken sometime on Wednesday the 14th in front of their home in Ho. This is Senyo’s family to include his wife, his children and his grandchildren.
The team is traveling to Ho, Ghana Africa to take part in a children’s retreat lead by our partners, Senyo Cudjoe and the Fountain of Life Chapel International. This year’s retreat is titled, “LIMITLESS “. Ephesians 3:20 – 21 & Philippians 4:13. Because our lives can be limitless through HIM! Each team member is choosing a teaching lesson from God’s limitless; Love, Faith, Wisdom, Blessings, Healings, Resources, Protection’s, Life, Possibilities, Opportunities and Promises. Once again Fountain of Life Chapel is sponsoring children from the rural communities throughout the Volta Region and bringing them to the chapel in Ho. For 4 days and 5 nights they will hear and learn about the Limitless love and power of our Lord and Savior. Many of these young boys and girls come from very poor farming communities with little knowledge of anything but the hard life they live and see. Hearing and having knowledge of our Lord’s words and promises can open doors to a life they don’t know is even possible.
Members of the team will have the opportunity to travel to some of the children’s homes to see what life is like living in the rural farming communities. Witnessing the struggles for clean water, healthy diets, education difficulties and the shared responsibilities of even the youngest of family members.
Along with the children’s retreat, the team will spend time researching the progress being achieved on the construction of the new chapel building and what the needs are for it’s completion.
Please join us in prayer as we ask for safe travel mercies not only for our team members, but also the children who will be traveling to and from the retreat. Pray for all those who are and will be working on putting the retreat together. Lift up praises for the lives that have already answered the call to take part and for those lives that are about to be forever changed. Remember our partner Senyo and the endless time and energy he spends in witnessing to so many who feel lost, forgotten.
2 Thessalonians 2:16 – 17. May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
We are glad to report that work continues to secure the chapel with the installation of the exterior entryway doors.
We continue to be thankful to all of you who have joined with us to make this possible. As there is still much work to be done. We continue to trust and believe that our Lord and Savior will see this through. Your prayers and financial support are and have been truly a blessing. You can help complete this project by going to our giving page and donating to mission ministries.
NOW A SNEAK PEEK INTO AN UP COMING EVENT.
What might this group be up to? Come back to find out!
Greetings from your Move Africa Team. After a very fruitful 2023 we have found ourselves in a time of rest. Work has slowed down but continues both on the new chapel and in the mission field. The plastering brown coat inside and out has now been completed.
The security doors have been installed and we are looking to see the new entry doors installed.
The 2nd quarter Children’s support along with the field leaders support has been delivered. Senyo reports Bethar, (Beta) is doing very well. Here she is seen in a new dress and bags of rice she received as part of her quarterly support.
please continue to keep the children, the chapel construction, Senyo and his team in your prayers. Your Move Africa team asks that you keep us lifted up also as we seek the Lord’s will. To grant us wisdom in planning and decisions moving forward. Each of us thank you for your continued support and prayers.
Stage two is underway as work continues with the roofing contractor finishing by closing up under eve overhangs.
Progress is also happening inside around the stage area with the construction of steps and the choir platform.
Today work started on the exterior walls where plaster is being applied.
As you can also see the window security bars have also been installed. Our next fundraising goal is to be able to purchase the 4 exterior doors to enable Senyo to secure the building. Please continue to keep this project, the worker’s safety and the funding to complete the chapel in your prayers. If the Lord leads you to give to this project. You can go to the giving page and donate to Mission Ministries in the drop-down box.
Today we received word from Senyo that the roofing contractor is on site and has begun installing the roofing panels. We praise our Lord for raising up everyone who has donated and or prayed over the construction of this new, Fountain of Life Chapel International chapel building. As many are aware this started as a vision back in 2008. In December of 2017 they began with the hand digging of the footers.
In 2018 work began of laying the foundation and the start of pouring the floors and building walls.
By the end of 2018 work came to a complete stop as funding slowed down. In December of 2021 with the threat of losing the building permit and the property there began a drive to raise funds and meet different requirements set in place by the building inspectors office in Ho, Ghana Africa. As the Lord provided us with generous donors, work once again started and gained momentum. Between April of 2022 through today, the floors have been completely poured, walls have been put up, trusses set and the roofing is going on today.
We thank each and everyone who has contributed to and prayed over this project. We ask each of you to continue to lift this up to completion. There is still much to do to reach the finish line.
Earlier this summer work on the new Fountain of Life Chapel International in Ho, Ghana Africa slowed down after work of installing the roof trusses was completed. In September do to some generous donations we were able to make a wire for the purchase of the metal roofing materials. Work has begun again with the installation of the cross supports scene here.
It has been a slow process to get this portion of the roof completed do the the amount of rain here this September and October. Today we can report that the roofing panels have been manufactured and began arriving on the work site today. We’re believing that work will begin soon on the panels being laid down in place.
We ask that you join us in prayer as we seek protection over the workers as they work on this part of the project.
Praise the Lord. We have surpassed our initial goal in fundraising for phase 1 of the construction of the new Fountain of Life Chapel in Ho, Ghana Africa.
Watch in the coming weeks as the roof of the chapel begins to be completed and we move into phase 2. Please continue praying over this project as we look forward to the day when it is completed and services are being held inside the walls of the church.
Today our partner Senyo travelled to Klokope to deliver her monthly support and see how she is doing. He also had the opportunity to meet with her school teacher and enroll her in the school’s lunch program.
Please join us in praying, asking for complete healing for Bertha. Lifting up Grandmother Esther, seeking strength, peace and comfort as she raises her two granddaughters. Asking for provisions and support for proper food and medical treatment as needed. You can help this family by donating to moveafrica.org and giving to the children’s fund.
Over the last week Bertha has been able to return to school. She enjoys getting her education and being back in the classroom. In the picture here she is standing with her 4th grade teacher.
Here she is sitting with her classmates.
She is doing better and continues to grow stronger as the doctors have placed her on a more balanced diet. This diet along with her medication is a burden on her grandmother Esther. Move Africa is looking to continue financially supporting her by raising $100 U.S. dollars a month for food and medication. You can help by donating on line, go to menu, click partner with us, click donate today, in the drop down click children. Or give by check and send to the address listed ,
