We’re so grateful for each and every person who helped make this year’s pie auction such a meaningful success. Because of your generosity, and the added support from our silent art auction, we were able to raise $8,000.
These funds are going directly toward building the new Fountain of Life Chapel in Ho, Ghana. It’s exciting to think about the day—coming sooner because of you—when those doors will open and be filled with praise and worship.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. We invite you to continue keeping this project in your prayers as we look ahead to all that’s to come.
Fountain of Life Chapel hauled in water to fill the baptistery of the New Chapel building that’s under construction. A number of people are being baptized tomorrow morning after church service. Please keep them in your prayers.

This afternoon brought such incredible joy—Kpevenu-Tsati once again has clean drinking water.
It’s been nearly a year since the well pump broke, forcing the community to return to their old, contaminated water source. When our team visited earlier this month, we asked our partner to find a repair company to inspect the well and provide an estimate. Through much prayer and the generosity of so many, the funds were sent, and the contractor arrived on Friday, March 20 to begin the work.
After removing the pump, they discovered that the shaft had broken loose and fallen deep into the well casing. This meant additional help was needed, and they had to return on Monday. Heavy rains delayed their progress, but on Tuesday they made it back and worked tirelessly all day until they were finally able to retrieve the shaft.
On Wednesday morning, everything came together—the shaft was reconnected, the pump reassembled, and the system tested. Water began to flow again.
We are overwhelmed with gratitude for answered prayers and for each person who gave to make this possible. What a beautiful blessing for this community.
Have you ever felt a pull to go on a mission trip? Do you have a heart for children?
I want to personally invite you to consider joining us this year as we travel to Ghana, Africa for a very special children’s conference in Ho. This is something that means so much to me, and I would love for you to prayerfully consider being part of it.
BDGM and Move Africa have joined hands to put on this year’s conference and bring together around 200 children from rural communities in the Volta Region. During this time, we share the love of Jesus while also teaching everyday life lessons—things like self-care, encouragement, and helping them dream of a brighter future for themselves and their families.
This year’s conference will take place August 4th–8th, and we’re planning for a trip of about 12 days (exact travel dates are still being finalized). I’m hoping to put together a team of 6–10 people—men and women who are willing to serve, love, and make a lasting impact. In the days following the conference we will spend some time vistiting a few of the rural communities spreading God’s word and share lessons similar to those taught to the children.
If this is something that stirs your heart, I’d love to talk with you. Please reach out to me, Sue Stevens personally or leave a comment using the comment option at the top of this page.
Our team has a special place in our hearts for the community of Kpevenu-Tsati and the struggles they face in finding clean drinking water.
Move Africa was first introduced to this community in 2015. During that visit, one of the team’s goals was to teach about the dangers of contaminated drinking water and simple ways to make it safer. The community was given Sawyer water filters, and we were able to show families how to use them to help protect their health.
In 2018, another team returned with a strong desire to see a well drilled so the community could have a reliable source of clean water. Two attempts were made in different locations, but unfortunately both were unsuccessful.
Then in 2020, after continued prayer and effort, another attempt was made—and this time a well was successfully drilled. It was a great blessing for the community.
When a team visited again in 2024, we discovered the well pump was no longer working. Sadly, the people had returned to using their old water hole. After inspecting the pump, one of our team members found that the pump chain had broken. With several men from the community watching, he was able to make a temporary repair so the well could function again.
This March, when we returned to Kpevenu-Tsati, we were saddened to find the pump once again not working and the community once more without safe water. After a well contractor inspected the pump, we were told it is no longer repairable and must be completely replaced.
Our team has returned home with a deep burden on our hearts to see this water need resolved.
This is where you can help. We ask that you first pray for the people of Kpevenu-Tsati and for this project. If you feel led to support this effort, you can donate by using the attached QR code and selecting the general fund.

After a long but trouble-free journey, we are grateful to share that our entire team arrived home safely. Thank you so much for your prayers throughout this trip. We truly felt them, and they made a difference every step of the way.
As we begin to catch our breath and settle back in, we find ourselves reflecting on the past two weeks. We carry with us so many memories—the sights, the sounds, the joy of fellowship, and also moments that were heavy on our hearts. Through it all, we are reminded that the Lord has a plan and a purpose in every circumstance.
Over the coming days we look forward to sharing more stories and reflections from the trip.
We would especially ask that you keep the people of Kpevenu-Tsati in your prayers. Their community has fallen on difficult times due to a broken well pump, leaving them without reliable access to clean drinking water. Hearing their situation weighed heavily on our hearts.
Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to help provide some immediate relief. A truckload of bagged drinking water was delivered to the community on Thursday. In addition, we have asked Senyo to locate a repair person who can evaluate the well pump and determine what will be required to restore it.
Your continued prayers for this community would mean so much as we seek a long-term solution.
Attached you will also find a message from the community of Klokope.
With grateful hearts,
Thank you for standing with us in prayer and support.

WELCOME ADDRESS BY TOGBE KLO AZUMAH III CHIEF OF VUME KLOKOPE
TO MOVE CITY CHURCH AND MOVE AFRICA INC. USA 9TH MARCH, 2026
Distinguished leaders and members of Move City Church and Move Africa Inc. from the United States of America, Our respected elders, Ladies and gentlemen,
On behalf of the elders and the entire people of Vume Klokope, I warmly welcome you once again to our community today, the 9th day of March, 2026.
We are always very happy to receive you in our community. Over the years, Move City Church and Move Africa Inc. have been visiting Vume Klokope and supporting us in one way or the other. Your visits have brought encouragement, friendship, and support to our people. For this, we are sincerely grateful, and we pray that God will continue to bless your church and your mission.
At this point, I would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to your team for the support and donations you offered to the family of our late Regent, Togbe Ferguson Gbemumu, during his passing. Your gesture of kindness during that difficult moment meant a lot to the bereaved family and to the entire community. On behalf of the family and the people of Vume Klokope, we say a very big thank you.
In fact, from the very first day you came into contact with our community until today, you have continued to extend various forms of help to us. We deeply appreciate every support, encouragement, and contribution you have made towards the development and well-being of our people.
As well we have not forgotten your tribute you have sent through your servant Apostle Senyo Mawufemor Cudjoe during the final funeral rites and burial of Togbe Ferguson Gbemumu. We say God richly bless you.
When we began celebrating our Dunenyo Festival, we also started sharing dreams about the development of our community. One of our major dreams at that time was the construction of a 1.5 kilometre road from Vume Kpoviadzi to Vume Klokope. At the beginning, it looked like a very big dream, but by the grace of God and through the efforts of many people, that dream came to pass just last year. Today, the road is a great benefit to our community, and we are thankful for such progress.
As a chief, it is my duty to always think about the future development and welfare of my people. Therefore, I have some dreams for our community which I have placed into two categories: medium-term dreams and long-term dreams.
Medium-Term Dream
Our medium-term plan was to purchase chairs for the community. These chairs would help us during community meetings, festivals, funerals, and other gatherings. Unfortunately, our expectations were affected last year when our respected Regent, Togbe Ferguson Gbemumu, passed away. Because he was buried in January this year, around the same time we normally celebrate the Dunenyo Festival, many of our plans and preparations were disrupted.
However, we still hold on to this dream and hope that in the near future we will be able to acquire these chairs to serve the needs of the community.
Long-Term Dream
Our long-term dream is to build a moderate community center for Vume Klokope. Such a facility will serve as a place where we can host community meetings, social programs, festivals, and other important activities.
At the moment, the absence of a community center greatly affects us, especially whenever it rains during gatherings. Many of our programs are often disrupted because we do not have a proper place to host them.
It is therefore my dream that one day we will be able to build a community center that will serve the present generation and also generations yet to come.
Distinguished guests, it is now my humble request that Move City Church and Move Africa Inc. will continue to remember these dreams of ours in your prayers. We believe that when people of faith pray, God listens. If it is the will of God, we trust that these dreams will also become a reality one day.
Once again, we thank you for coming to visit us today. Your presence encourages us greatly, and we appreciate your friendship and partnership with the people of Vume Klokope.
You are most welcome to our community, and we wish you a peaceful and fruitful stay.
