2024 Mission Trip

August 23,2024 Day 8

Thursday was an amazing day of answered prayer as many came forward asking to be prayed over for healing. Here a young girl from Kpevenu-Tsati is praying for the healing of her headaches.

Even as adults we often wonder what we have to offer in spreading the word of God. How can I be used? Even the youngest is equipped when we release ourselves to him. In the following picture young team members are mixing up ingredients to make slime and demonstrate a lesson from Paul. That when we invite Jesus into our lives, he changes the way we look, the way we think and the way we act. The visual of the ever changing appearance of the slime was a hit and a great example of Transformation.

Such a beautiful day to share the word and watch how the Lord works. We are blessed to worship and witness to these beautiful people.

Lord we ask that you watch over all those who came forward asking for prayer, continue to watch over them and protect them. Be with all the people who have come to hear your message of love and salvation. Encourage your servants who have answered your call. Restore their energy and confidence as you continue your work through them. And even now might you be preparing others to follow in this team’s footsteps, your footsteps! We ask these things in Jesus name, Amem.

August 21,2024 Day 7

Day one of the retreat is successfully in the book. With over 80 children in attendance the teams were kept busy. Teaching from Psalm 23 they heard messages on walking with Jesus, having faith in our limitless God, and his unending love. At the completion of each lesson they broke up into smaller discussion groups to dive deeper into the message with questions and answers.

And yes, there was time for some beach ball fun too.

Lord have you hand upon your servants. Be with those who have come to hear your word, some for the very first time. As they listen to your teaching may they desire to learn more and drawn closer. May they be encouraged to go and share your message with family back home when they return.

2024 Mission Trip Youth Retreat

August 20,2924 Day 6

Today is arrival and preparation day. After spending the morning in devotions and prayer the team had lunch. Then it was on to completing the set up. The children started arriving mid afternoon and by the time registration finished up, Senyo shared there are 85 children attending this years retreat as of tonight.

Praise the Lord for the safe arrival of the children. May they remain healthy and safe. Lord we are grateful for the many provisions that you have already provided, and for those that are yet to be seen. Again we thank everyone that is working to make this possible. We especially thank the women who are preparing the meals every day, not only for the children but for the volunteers also. We thank our partners, Apostle Senyo Cudjoe, BDGM and Fountain of Life Chapel for allowing us to participate once again in their annual retreat. Lord, may you alone be glorified in Jesus name, Amen!

August 19,2024 Day 5

In preparation for the start of this year’s retreat the team will be taking time to go over lesson plans and spending some time in rest today. Tomorrow afternoon the children will start arriving and begin checking in. They will then have dinner and later take part in an orientation program before getting a night’s rest.

Please keep all of the workers and volunteers in your thoughts and prayers . Pray for safe travels as the children make the journey to Ho from their homes. May the retreat run smoothly and be fruitful. Pray that the Lord’s messages flow freely in communication and be received with open hearts and minds. May lives be forever transformed and filled with love, joy, peace and hope. Most of all may they be filled with the Holy Spirit and may they return home over flowing with a grace for others. Pray over our team members seeking safety and good health.

2024 Mission Trip

August 18,2024 Day 4

Today the team traveled approximately 2 hours to Vume-Kpoviadzi, Senyo’s home community. Christina opened up church services with music and songs before Pastor Jack brought this morning’s message.

Here team members join in the local tradition of drumming and dancing before service.

Team members were blessed to have Beta brought from a neighboring community to Vume-Kpoviadzi. For those who are new to her. During last year’s trip team members were drawn to this child who was extremely ill and under nourished. They were guided to have her taken to the hospital in Ho for testing and treatment. Today through the loving hearts of her sponsors she receives the proper nutrition and medications. She is doing much better and was able to return to school.

We are grateful for all the kind supporters we have had through the years. Without your prayers and financial support, trips and stories like this might not be possible. May the Lord continue to bless you all many times over.

Remember, your prayers carry us through bringing us strength, wisdom and the power to go forward. We Thank You!

2024 Mission Trip

August 17,2024 Day 3

Today the team traveled to the community of Adaklu-Kpetsu. A community Move Africa first visited in March of 2023. This year’s team members are there again to share messages from the Bible and of the unlimited power and love of God.

Sights and sounds of day 3.

And here are the younger members of the team giving soccer balls to the children of the community which has become a theme over the past several trips.

And this year beach balls sounded like a lot of fun!

While our main focus is supporting Senyo’s mission of spreading God’s word though out the Volta Region of Ghana Africa, it is also building relationships.

We trust and believe in the power of prayer. Know that your prayers are encouraging and are being felt by the team. We ask you to continue to lift us up in prayer along with those who have come to listen to God’s word. That through the seeds that are being sowed, his kingdom will multiply and through him lives will be forever changed.

2024 Mission Trip

August 16,2024 Day 2

This evening Senyo reports that the team traveled to Kpevenu-Tsati. A community that Move Africa has been working in since 2015. A little history on our relationship there. Senyo introduced us into this community that year on our trip. Then as the team departed they felt the calling to sponsor 30 orphan children in which 17 are still sponsored today while 13 have turned 18 years old and aged out. In 2018 we tried to bore a well in 3 different locations wanting to replace there stagnant water source with clean freshwater. None of the locations produced water. In 2022 the government piped in clean water after much prayer. This is a remote farming community approximately an hour and a half from Ho. We continue to pray over them, seeking the strong presence of the Holy Spirt, drawing them closer to our Lord and Savior.
Following are some sights and sounds of today’s visit.

Pastor Jack giving a lesson on love and how love will make one go out of his/her comfort zone to do something extraordinary for someone.

A man hearing Pastor Jack’s message was moved with compassion towards his community’s water issues, spoke to Pastor Jack about the broken down borehole to which the pastor went to exam it. Upon Pastor Jack’s inspection of the borehole, he realized that this chain in the borehole system was torn. And he made a request for a cable to be brought to him so he could try to fix the borehole system for the community. The problem was fixed easily and this will save the community from any further water crisis.

Word of how Pastor Jack fixed the borehole system got the womenfolk and out of excitement, the women began to sing a song of praise to God. The song speaks about how we benefit a lot of things when we put our trust in God.

As the members of the community are broken up into smaller groups, team members share a message from the word of our Lord.

Josh reaching out to the young men.

Such a glorious day. As Senyo so often says. God is good, all the time. Continue praying for continued safety, strength, rest.

Breaking bread with Senyo for the first time after arriving.

Fresh Coconut anyone?

We believe this picture was taken sometime on Wednesday the 14th in front of their home in Ho. This is Senyo’s family to include his wife, his children and his grandchildren.

2024 Mission Trip

Here is our 2024 Ghana mission team.

The team is traveling to Ho, Ghana Africa to take part in a children’s retreat lead by our partners, Senyo Cudjoe and the Fountain of Life Chapel International. This year’s retreat is titled, “LIMITLESS “. Ephesians 3:20 – 21 & Philippians 4:13. Because our lives can be limitless through HIM! Each team member is choosing a teaching lesson from God’s limitless; Love, Faith, Wisdom, Blessings, Healings, Resources, Protection’s, Life, Possibilities, Opportunities and Promises. Once again Fountain of Life Chapel is sponsoring children from the rural communities throughout the Volta Region and bringing them to the chapel in Ho. For 4 days and 5 nights they will hear and learn about the Limitless love and power of our Lord and Savior. Many of these young boys and girls come from very poor farming communities with little knowledge of anything but the hard life they live and see. Hearing and having knowledge of our Lord’s words and promises can open doors to a life they don’t know is even possible.

Members of the team will have the opportunity to travel to some of the children’s homes to see what life is like living in the rural farming communities. Witnessing the struggles for clean water, healthy diets, education difficulties and the shared responsibilities of even the youngest of family members.

Along with the children’s retreat, the team will spend time researching the progress being achieved on the construction of the new chapel building and what the needs are for it’s completion.

Please join us in prayer as we ask for safe travel mercies not only for our team members, but also the children who will be traveling to and from the retreat. Pray for all those who are and will be working on putting the retreat together. Lift up praises for the lives that have already answered the call to take part and for those lives that are about to be forever changed. Remember our partner Senyo and the endless time and energy he spends in witnessing to so many who feel lost, forgotten.

2 Thessalonians 2:16 – 17. May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
